What is Bandook Burn Edition – Diamond Cut?

The KWE Sports Bandook Burn Edition – Diamond Cut is the upgraded, higher-performance evolution of our Bandook Player Edition, created for hard tennis players who keep asking for one thing — MORE POWER.

The foundation comes from a distinctive player-preferred Diamond Cut profile associated with two well-known names in Indian tennis-ball cricket — Krishna Laxman Satpute and Usman Patel.

Krishna Laxman Satpute, from Kurduvadi, Solapur, Maharashtra, is popularly known in the tennis-ball cricket community as the “God of Tennis-Ball Cricket,” while Usman Patel is popularly known as “Raigad Ka Tiger.”

KWE Sports took inspiration from this proven playing profile and restructured it specifically for Indian hard tennis cricket.

Starting with a Selected Premium Grade 1+ Kashmir Willow Double Blade Cleft, we increased the thickness and wood mass (meat) behind the blade while keeping the scooping controlled and reduced.

The Burn Edition isn't simply a burned appearance or different colour.

After creating the Burn finish, the bat undergoes multiple proprietary strengthening and performance treatments developed through KWE Sports' R&D.

These specialised strengthening coats are an important part of the Burn Edition process. The exact formulation, combination and application method are proprietary to KWE Sports and are not publicly disclosed.

Combined with carefully selected willow, retained meat, compression, reinforcement and final balancing, these additional processes make the Burn Edition our higher-performance Diamond Cut option.

The Burn Edition starts with carefully selected Premium Grade 1+ Kashmir Willow.

Wood selection is especially important because we want to retain good meat and thickness behind the hitting area while still achieving the required weight, pickup and balance.

🔨 8–16× R&D-Based Machine Pressing

Every Bandook Burn Edition undergoes 8–16 machine-pressing cycles depending on the final compression required.

We don't follow a fixed number of presses. The characteristics of each selected cleft determine how much compression is required, based on KWE Sports' R&D and manufacturing process.

🧪 Proprietary Strengthening Treatments

Following the Burn process, the blade receives multiple specialised strengthening and performance coats developed through KWE Sports' own R&D.

These treatments form an important part of what separates our Burn Edition from the standard version.

For competitive reasons, the exact materials, formulation and application process remain KWE Sports proprietary manufacturing know-how.

Strategically positioned thread binding reinforces the Diamond Cut structure at multiple points.

Combined with the thicker blade, retained meat and Premium Singapuri Cane Handle, the construction provides additional structural support and helps manage impact and unwanted vibration during hard tennis play.

Every Bandook Burn Edition receives a special waterproofing treatment designed to provide additional moisture protection to the Kashmir Willow during normal cricket use.
